Car cloning syndicates had “inside” help from rogue Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers in carrying out their criminal activities. Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (Prevention) Mustafar Ali revealed this.
He said eight out of the 21 suspects arrested recently were JPJ officers. MACC was working with JPJ’s special 25-member squad to eliminate inside jobs related to falsification of road tax discs and car registration documents.
