The Insurance Asia Awards 2016 is an initiative to honour the insurance companies in Asia who have risen above the challenges and to recognise the initiatives and practices that have made the most of the lucrative opportunities in the market.
With a total of 12 categories per country and 4 regional awards, the company said it was the first insurance company to be awarded Domestic Life Insurer of the Year in Malaysia. The Domestic Life Insurer of the Year award is based on three judging criteria which include uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and impact as well as dynamism.
“It assesses the new or cutting-edge innovations that the insurer has introduced, the products or services it launched that achieved its targets and how it has impacted the company and industry,” it said in a statement.
Group managing director and chief executive officer Loh Guat Lan said the award reinforces the company’s position as the top domestic life insurer in Malaysia that offers innovative financial solutions to meet the varied needs of the market.
“Hong Leong Assurance’s value propositions and strategy are clear and focused. We make it our habit to continuously innovate and transform our ways of serving our customers better.
“They encompass using digital technology to transform our business processes and improve customer experience, developing online sales platform to reach out to digital generation of customers and providing relevant product solutions to safeguard our customers’ evolving protection needs,” she said.
