A man was detained after he drove a lorry in a dangerous manner against the traffic flow at Km432 of the North South Expressway (PLUS), heading south near the Sungai Buaya toll plaza in Hulu Selangor today.
In the incident at 9.15am, the lorry driven by the 37-year-old suspect collided with another lorry driven by a man, 48.
Hulu Selangor Police Chief Supt Lim Bak Phai said the driver, who was a medicine supplier, was going against the traffic flow for three kilometres from the toll plaza.
"Both the victims did not suffer any injuries but the suspect has been taken to the Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital for a blood test to check his alcohol content," he said in a statement today.
Lim said initial investigations found that the suspect did not have a driving licence, had a previous criminal record, 64 unpaid summonses and 36 arrest warrants, as well as 15 cases which required his presence in court.
He said the man will be sent to the Ampang Police Headquarters to help in investigations into other cases
