Digital healthcare is exploding and many are scrambling to enter this market space. However, many companies lack an understanding of how health clinical pathways should be applied and managed.
Inova Group of Companies founder and CEO John Le Boeuf (pic) sees tremendous potential in online healthcare and foresees it to be a part of everyone’s healthcare future.
Presently, most clinics already use technology to transfer diagnostic reports from the testing centers to the clinic location.
LeBoeuf is a firm believer that digitalization will affect how health care is accessed and paid for in the future. Technology is evolving at a very rapid rate and already affects how people purchase consumer goods, travel, communicate and address their insurance needs.
“We firmly believe that the use of artificial intelligence and digital technology will soon revolutionize healthcare, improving access, cost and quality,” he said.
Last month, Inova Solutions Ltd, Inova Care LLC and UCrest Bhd executed a collaboration agreement to develop and distribute UCrest’s portfolio of innovative and technology-driven health care products and services in North America and Asia on a mass and niche basis using multiple distribution channels.
Headquartered in the United States, Inova Solutions and Inova Care are the leading medical insurance Third Party Administrator and consulting companies with offices in the United States, Asia Pacific and Middle East countries.
Inova has a network of thousands of hospitals and clinics in Asia-Pacific countries and the United States where they process millions of medical claims each year for several multinational insurance companies and self-insured clients. Under this agreement, Inova Solutions will expand UCrest’s offerings within the health insurance industry and represent UCrest in all North America insurance and health care business.
UCrest i-medic online medical services including chronic disease management, e-prescription and digital electronic medical records will be incorporated into insurance products that will be through multiple distribution channels.
Le Boeuf said that apart from the close personal friendship he has developed with UCrest founder Eg Kah-Yee, he believes UCrest is one of the most advanced online digital healthcare solutions available in the marketplace. “The completeness of the solution which encompasses the use of FDA-approved home measuring and monitoring medical devices, ability to obtain information from the clinic and hospital make it a superior digital platform to any other company we have come across in the marketplace,” he said.
“i-Medic takes this prevailing technology to the next level. By virtue of the fact that i-Medic is digital, it will a very scalable solution and can create health care access to many geographies where there is a very low doctor to patient ratio,” he added.
Inova will rollout i-Medic in the USA and Asia in parallel with affordability being one of its core objectives.
It will include use of i-Medic as part of baseline benefit programs Inova develops for their business partners in Asia and the USA.
“For all members regardless of where they reside, i-Medic is a comprehensive solution that makes essential health care less expensive than if members seek health care at a specialist office or hospital.
Inova’s goal is to make i-Medic a key part of all health care related benefit programs. The integration of i-Medic as part of the core benefit plan will lower the overall cost of health care, while driving volume into the digital platform. Insurers, companies and insured members will quickly see the value of i-Medic,” he said.
