A man in Andhra Pradesh, India, killed his parents and tried to make it look like a robbery gone wrong in a bid to claim their life insurance money, the same paper reported.Under pressure to pay back loans, he decided to cash in on the 1.5-million-rupee (RM90, 000) insurance policy he had taken for his parents. On the night of July 21, he supposedly knocked his elderly parents out with drinks spiked with a high dose of sleeping pills before slitting their wrists and throats.
The next morning, he pretended to find their bodies and claimed that the house had been robbed.
