This latest round of action brings the number of eateries closed by the council this week to five, as three eateries along Jalan Chantek 5/13 had been shut down for hygiene problems yesterday.
The two restaurants raided today are Face to Face Noodle House and S One One restaurant in Dataran Ara Damansara.
The restaurants were fined for having dirty kitchens and rat droppings. One of the restaurants also had broken tiles in the kitchen where food was prepared, posing as a health hazard as bacteria and fungus could grow in the cracks of broken tiles. MBPJ also found food in the kitchen to stored improperly, making it a health violation.
"The restaurants will be closed until the broken tiles are fixed and until they pass MBPJ’s cleanliness criteria,” he added. if you have encountered any dirty eateries in the Klang Valley recently and managed to take pictures, please email photos to StarMetro (metro@thestar.com.my) for us to follow-up with the authorities.
