A man spent three weeks recording incriminating conversations between a 56-year-old teacher and the mother of a young girl that he was interested in having sex with.
The man claimed that he has up to 60 audio recordings of the teacher, who is a former branch chairman of MIC.
In a video shared on WhatsApp, the man, who spoke in Tamil, claimed that the former MIC branch chairman had fallen into a “trap” set by him.
The man was referring to recordings of phone calls between the teacher and a woman where he promised a job for the woman’s daughter if she would have sex with him.
He explained that the woman’s daughter had difficulty in finding a job and that was when they approached the teacher, who promised to help them, provided he was allowed to have sex with the girl.
He claimed that the former MIC branch chairman first made the offer to the mother about three weeks ago but was turned down.
The man said he however convinced the girl’s mother to stay in contact with the teacher while he set up the sting. The man claimed that the mother refused to lodge a police report as she did not want to get involved.
In the audio recording, said to be of the teacher and the mother of the girl, the man is heard claiming that he had sex with seven to eight young girls whom he had helped.
In a related development, Dewan Himpunan Penyokong PAS has also lodged a police report against the former MIC branch leader based on an audio recording that has since gone viral.
Its chief Datuk N. Balasubramaniam said the police and the Education Ministry should take stern action against the man.
“We hope that the police and the ministry would look into the matter seriously as the recording was proof enough. They should also probe to see if there were others involved or if he was acting alone,” he told reporters after lodging the report at the Sentul district police headquarters here yesterday.
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said police were investigating the matter.
Several police reports have been lodged against the teacher, who in turn has lodged a report saying he now fears for his safety.
