In yet another case of road rage, an engineer was allegedly punched and threatened with a pistol yesterday – all because he sounded his car horn at another motorist. The man, who only wanted to be known as Khoo, said the incident occurred about 12.30pm along Jalan Kampung Baru.

Khoo, 27, claimed he blared his car horn at a motorist when the latter suddenly came from the left side of the road and cut into his path. The motorist was driving a dark blue-coloured four-wheel-drive vehicle. Khoo claimed the driver then forced him to stop his car.

He alleged that the man got out of his car, came up to him and punched him on the face.

“He also threatened to shoot me with a pistol,” he told reporters. As Khoo did not want the situation to get more ugly, he apologised to the man who then drove away.
