Half of the 72 bags seized from two condominiums linked to Datuk Seri Najib Razak contained RM114 million in cash of various currencies while the other half were filled with jewellery and luxury watches, said Datuk Seri Amar Singh.
The Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department chief disclosed this in a press conference this morning that appeared intended to dispel rumors regarding the haul from the two raids at upscale Pavilion Residences last week.
Amar also urged the public not to believe rumors or pictures of valuables purportedly from the seizures, saying no photographs had been allowed during the operations except those by police photographers documenting the evidence.
